I’ve spent most of my career thinking about process – how things are done, how they could be done better, and how to keep them flexible enough to change when the future comes in to clearer focus – and I spend most of my time bringing that thinking to our team and clients. With a background in design, I’m also inclined to notice and fuss over every little detail that comes my way.

I write frequently on design, technology, and being human. You can read my writing here at Newfangled.com, in publications like PRINT, HOW, Smashing Magazine, or through my weekly newsletter, Don’t Think About the Future. I’m also the author of The Strategic Web Designer.

I speak often on interactive design and digital marketing topics. Some of my recent talks have covered how web design is changing, the future of web development, studying user behavior, entrepreneurshipthe future of content marketing, the web design process, responsive design, getting interactive design feedback, content strategy and production, emerging technologies in public health, writing for creative people, and something I call technosprawl.
