A large part of our work here at Newfangled is the continued hosting and support for our legacy clients who predate our Total Managed Support program. One interesting client with a unique mission is the Vietnam Dog Handler Association, a group that seeks to re-unite veteran war dog handlers and memorialize military dogs. One of our developers, Jim Hendrickson, recently shared a link to a CNN report about VDHA that touched me. This organization honors the shared experience of soldiers who bonded with amazing dogs under the stress of war. The photos of the dogs in the CNN piece really made clear to me the importance of these individual dogs in their handlers' lives. You don't have to be a soldier to appreciate that.

Looking for a Jesse Bates who most likely came from Virginia and was a dog handler in Nam about 1967-68. He also would have been at Fort Polk before going to country. An old friend of his, a Larry Coffman who lives in Tennessee is trying to re-connect with him. They were both at Fort Polk before going over to Nam. If anyone knows him and can get this message to him, have him contact a Jim Upton at either glock31sf@yahoo.com or mycell phone of 865-654-2968.
