This notice describes how Newfangled Web Factory, Inc. (“Newfangled”, “we”) handles data in connection with the Newfangled Insight Engine platform’s integrations with third-party advertising and analytics services, including the LinkedIn Marketing APIs. It is separate from our Insight Engine tracking privacy policy, which describes how we process form data collected on our customers’ websites.
What the platform is
The Insight Engine platform is internal software used only by Newfangled employees to manage digital advertising and report on marketing performance for the clients who have engaged Newfangled as their marketing agency. The platform is not sold, licensed, or made available to anyone outside Newfangled. Our clients do not log into or interact with it; they receive campaign deliverables and reporting from our team.
What data the platform accesses from LinkedIn
When a Newfangled employee connects the platform to LinkedIn, they authorize it through LinkedIn’s OAuth consent process under their own individual LinkedIn account. Through that authorization, the platform accesses two categories of data.
First, basic profile information about the authorizing employee (name and identifiers), used to operate the connection and attribute activity within the platform to that employee.
Second, advertising data for the LinkedIn ad accounts on which that employee holds a role granted by the client through LinkedIn Campaign Manager. This includes campaign structures, creatives, targeting configurations, budgets, and performance analytics. We access this data solely to build and manage advertising campaigns and to provide performance reporting and billing reconciliation to the client whose account the data belongs to.
How we use and protect this data
Advertising data for one client is never shared with, displayed to, or combined with data belonging to any other client. We do not sell LinkedIn data, use it to build audience profiles, provide it to data enrichment services, or use it to train machine learning models. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest, scoped to the individual employee, and access to the platform is limited to authenticated Newfangled employees. Our use of the LinkedIn Marketing APIs is governed by the LinkedIn Marketing API Program terms.
Service providers
We use a small number of service providers to operate the platform, including Amazon Web Services for infrastructure and Anthropic, whose Claude platform provides the conversational interface our employees use to operate campaign management functions. Service providers process data only to provide their services to us and are bound by confidentiality obligations. Retention and deletion
We retain advertising data for the duration of the client’s engagement with Newfangled, to support ongoing campaign management and historical performance reporting for that client. Data is not automatically purged during an active engagement; it is deleted when the client offboards or upon the client’s request. An employee may disconnect their LinkedIn authorization at any time, and clients may revoke our team’s ad account access at any time in LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
