This Privacy Policy describes how the Newfangled Client Agent Connector Chrome extension (the “Extension”) handles information.
Summary
The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any user data. It operates entirely locally within the user’s browser.
What the Extension does
The Extension is a connector between Newfangled’s internal Client Agent application and Claude (claude.ai). It reads the URL hash fragment of pages it is loaded on (limited to claude.ai/project/*, claude.ai/chat/*, and claude.ai/new*).
When a hash fragment matching the format #nfprefill=<encoded-text> is present, the Extension inserts the decoded text into the message composer on the current page.
Once the text is inserted, the Extension removes the nfprefill parameter from the URL.
It then programmatically clicks the page’s existing Send button to submit the
prompt on the user’s behalf.
What the Extension does not do
- No data collection. The Extension does not collect any personal information, browsing history, authentication credentials, location data, or any other user data.
- No data transmission. The Extension does not send data to any server, including any server operated by Newfangled, Anthropic, or any third party. All processing happens locally in the browser.
- No tracking. The Extension does not use cookies, local storage, analytics, telemetry, or any other tracking mechanism.
- No third parties. The Extension does not share any data with third parties, because there is no data to share.
Permissions
The Extension’s manifest declares only content_scripts matched to specific URL patterns on claude.ai. It does not request any other permissions, and does not have access to other tabs, browsing history, cookies, downloads, bookmarks, or any other browser data.
Audience
The Extension is internal tooling distributed by Newfangled to its team members through Google Workspace administrative deployment. It is listed as Unlisted on the Chrome Web Store and is not intended for public use.
Changes
Any changes to this policy will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated to affected users via Newfangled’s internal channels.
