Mobile Mobile

Warning: Meta moment:

Today, I published our April newsletter on adapting websites for mobile devices. Using our site as a “case study,” I’m hoping to point out some best practices for optimizing existing websites for mobile, as well as do a soft-announcement of our new mobile suite (more on that here). Keeping with the mobile theme, I thought it would be fun to catch the latest newsletter on some of the mobile devices we have laying around the office…

Of course, it looks great on the iPhone…

…and on the iPad (my new favorite toy)…

…and on Android phones, like Brian’s Droid Eris and Bettina’s HTC Hero…

Oh, and by the way, it’s not supposed to, but the newsletter is…passable…on the Blackberry. My three-year-old beat up Blackberry. Seriously, though, even though I carry this thing around every day and use it a ton for email and texting, I never, ever, ever use the browser on my Blackberry. It’s just not worth the effort. But I thought it would be funny to load up the fancy new mobile newsletter on the Blackberry to show how atrocious it looks there. Turns out it wasn’t as bad as I expected. But obviously, much better on the iPhone, iPad, and Droid.

It even looks amazing on our Uniden handsets…

…and robot watches…

…and for all you iconoclasts out there, it will look great on your “mobile” devices. Steve models his below:

…wait, what?
