Lauren Walstrum

Project Manager

As a project manager, I work on new website projects and ongoing site upgrades. With my teammate, Steve Grothmann, I guide our clients through the web development process from sale to launch—facilitating conversations between all involved parties—and offer ongoing support for the life of their site.

Before joining the Newfangled team, I received a degree in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston and worked in administration. I wouldn't have ever guessed that I'd end up working in web development, but I love what I do and enjoy learning new things every day and passing that knowledge on to our clients.

When not at Newfangled, I enjoy cooking and baking (I make a mean chocolate chip cookie), reading, and hanging out with my dog, Pepper.

So here's my contribution to the series of "two things" posts inspired by our discussion with a focus on SEO.

Simple Usability Tests: Reviewing the Testing Process and Lessons Learned from the Trenches

May 26, 2011 at 1:00 pm

Last week at Newfangled we ordered a few pizzas and gathered 'round our conference table for our monthly lunch and learn session. For my presentation, I wanted to review the simple usability testing process, show the team some examples of usability tests performed on our clients' sites, and share some lessons I've learned so far from my experience.
