NewfangledCMS: Date-Based Publishing

Simplify website maintenance with date-based publishing.

The NewfangledCMS has a built-in status system that enables previewing, publishing, and unpublishing content automatically. This is a standard capability of all Newfangled websites.

By adding date-based content publishing, website maintenance is greatly simplified and automated.

Embarrassingly, aging content (such as news articles and press releases) often remains on a site well beyond its usefulness. Out of date content on a website makes a negative impression on site visitors. Date-based publishing performs content house keeping in advance. By assigning an unpublish date to website content, it will automatically archive itself at the pre-determined time.

Conversely, new content can be pre-loaded and assigned a future publish date. Time sensitive information, such as special offers, can be set to run only for a short period of time - during an industry tradeshow or while running an ad campaign, for example.

Pre-loading content can also be used to keep a site fresh. Enter several months' worth of weekly "tips," and using the date publication tools, a new tip will appear automatically every week.
