NewfangledCMS applications are pre-built, yet fully customizable, and can be combined to suit each client's needs. In rare cases, when a client's requirements are so specialized that our existing applications don't satisfy their needs, we build custom NewfangledCMS applications.

Yet, we avoid the high cost of building custom applications from the ground up by starting from our existing applications or a combination of applications and extending them with custom functionality.

Custom Application Examples
NewfangledCMS applications cover the bases for almost every website function. But in cases where a client's needs are highly specialized, we extend the NewfangledCMS with custom applications.

For example, Rhode Island Public Transit Authority needed a specialized trip planner that would allow bus riders to enter in their starting and ending destinations and their desired time of departure or arrival, in order to find the best and fastest route. Another example is Merlyn's Pen, a site where a network of nation-wide editors needed to be able to collaboratively review, respond, and pass along submitted manuscripts, while at the same time giving the authors to ability to see the real time status of their submissions in the review process.

By starting from existing applications like data importing, password protection, and personalization, and then extending these applications for particular site requirements, we can produce sophisticated web-based applications without breaking the bank.
