Super Bowl XLIII Logo Redesigns
January 29, 2009 at 10:00 am by AbleI laughed out loud when I saw this slideshow on The New York Times of the Super Bowl logo redesigned. Their reasoning for the logos are great, too. Especially the designers who admittedly know nothing about football. Also interesting that the folks at Pentagram and Armin Vit of UnderConsideration had similar concepts... Here are a couple of my favorite concepts, but you've got to see them all.
I will be rooting for the Steeler's although I have not watched a game all season, and just realized the other day that the "big game" is approaching this weekend. I just know enough that next week will be much better around the office if the Steelers win, because someone really likes them...

January 29, 2009 12:16 PM Wow. Thanks for the good laugh, Able. Seriously though, Armin Vit makes a good point about how the Super Bowl logo has become more about the roman numerals than about the game of football. |

January 30, 2009 11:14 AM Justin, I wonder if most Americans even know how to read Roman numerals... Mark, I think that one is weak without the description, but it did make me laugh. Go Steelers! |
